We believe that we are each called to live into the lives and the identities that God has given us. We have LGBTQ+ parishioners and staff who are active at St. James. Our rector, Evan Fischer, is the first transgender priest in the Episcopal Church to transition while serving in a congregation and keep his job as the rector. We host the monthly meeting for PRISM, the LGBTQ+ support group for Wayne County. We know that you may have been hurt by another Christian community and for that we are very sorry. Know that here we will try our best to see you and love you as God’s beloved.
