Getting Married at St. James

Marriage is a sacrament in the Episcopal Church. Therefore it is taken seriously as a lifelong commitment. During an Episcopal church wedding, the couple asks God to bless their lives together and to be with them always. If someone wishes to get married at St. James, it is required that one member of the couple be a member of the Episcopal church somewhere. Pre-martial counseling is required with the Rector, another clergy person, or a therapist. If it is a second marriage, there needs to be an initial meeting with the Rector before planning can begin. We respect the marriage of all people straight, gay or lesbian.

For more information about getting married at St. James, please contact our Rector, Evan Fischer, at evan@stjameswooster.org.
